About same distance from the two giants Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paolo, Paraty is the living history book. Paraty was an important trade spot between Brazil and Portugal. This was the main port from where the gold from the Brazilian state of Mines Gerais was transported to Portugal. This economic significance cased high development of infrastructure and architecture. Paraty has the largest number of Portuguese style buildings outside of Europe.
Paraty is also known for its Cachaca distilleries. Nothing can describe this better than the fact that in the early times this signature Brazilian drink was called Paraty. Cachaca is the main base of the famous Brazilian cocktail Capirinha.

With the following pictures I try to show the passion, enthusiasm and dedication of these people who are preparing for half a year for their one hour show.
Photos taken during my travels in the US and abroad. Enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed being at the locations
